Job offer information
For our client we are looking for an General Ledger accountant where you'll primarily handle closing-related activities covering GL, HR accounting, revenue, and intercompany accounting. Expect diverse challenges including:
Closing preparation, accrual process, and intercompany tasks
Reconciliation of balance sheets and profit and loss accounts
Recording HR accounting topics and provisions in the system
Posting late entries as per company guidelines
Generating statements of equity and reports on provision changes
Conducting controls for internal compliance
Assisting auditors with queries
Daily interaction with internal stakeholders
Employee requirements
Educational background in economics
Language proficiency: Upper intermediate (B2) level in Croatian or Serbian, and English
Experience in general ledger accounting is advantageous
Knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS is a plus
Proficiency in accounting software (preferably SAP) and MS Excel
Detail-oriented and self-organized with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and a customer-friendly approach
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Enthusiasm for international work and occasional travel within Europe
