Our client is in need of an independent strategic buyer that is interested in logistics markets and managing his own portfolio.
You will be responsible for:
- Organize and execute sourcing events, negotiations, and contracts with new or existing suppliers in accordance with the global strategy of the buying category
- Develop short-term, mid-term, and long-term financial targets for each Category, as well as strategies for risk mitigation
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement the best business partnerships
- Contribute to operational excellence by aligning and cooperating with supply chain
- Prepare and run sourcing events using eSourcing tools and our transport management system (TMS)
- Support Category teams within the Center of Excellence (CoE)
Employee requirements
- 3 years experience in purchasing
- The ability to react creatively to market and company changes
- An understanding of project management and teamwork skills are essential
- An MBA or Supply Chain Management degree is preferred
